American Wave in a new, innovative, and patented professional permanent texture service stylists use to create everything from cascading beachy waves to expanded textures to full-blown curls. We can change the texture of hair that is already curly, use it to give fine hair types a volume boost, create a mélange of different textures, and give waves and curls and kinks to anyone that wants them
Led by Abbey Theis, ARROJO texture specialist and a key member of the American Wave development team, the Day One presentation is set to be a a trailblazing runway show. Highlighting classic and creative techniques we put the personality of textured hair at the center of attention.
"It's time to reinvent permanent waving and get rid of the fears," says Nick Arrojo. "Rather than seeing every hairstyle as perfectly straight, we promote the graceful elegance and individuality of texture. Now there is a product to match our vision. We can't wait to share it at Expo."
Day 2 Workshop
In order to use American Wave, stylists must be certified in its application and techniques. The Day One presentation provides a great overview, including much of the theory behind the product, but to obtain official certification in this service, stylists must complete one three-hour workshop.
This Expo workshop is your chance to be in the first group of stylists to practice and master American Wave.
On a combination of live models and mannequins, workshop attendees learn, through demonstration and hands-on work, two American Wave techniques:
The Beach Wave Technique: Learn to marry straight and wavy textures and create the sexy, tousled beach waves that are the zeitgeist of fashion, trend, and style.
The Voluminous Technique: Learn to create volume and texture and movement for fine and straight hair types. A brilliant skill to share with clients whose hair lacks life and vitality.
