Before we get too party-giddy, a last call for our special Expo discounted hotel room rates: We have special rates at The Marriot, The Hampton Inn, and The Trump Soho, all within two blocks of the event. The Pre-Event Gathering Party
We're starting things off with a little informal socializing and mingling and cocktail drinking. Open to all ticket-holders, this is a gratis event so you can see the studio, absorb what we do, and get in the spirit of Expo. Join us in our ARROJO studio salon space as we celebrate the start of a hair show that reforms the hairdressing landscape.
Sunday 23 January 7:30 - 11-30 pm @ The City Winery
The Official Expo Party, with DJs Tatum Neill & Nick Arrojo
As part of day one, there is a post show party with entry, food and drink included with the ticket. The party includes a hairdressing presentation by Nick Arrojo. The show is called 'Elements of ARROJO' and takes in three key parts of our world. Another inspirational part of the festivities.
Then we go to the turntables to show you another side of our culture....
'Madchester' was a music scene that developed in Manchester (Nick Arrojo's hometown), England, towards the end of the 1980s and into the early 1990's. The music that emerged mixed psychedelia with dance, and at the legendary Hacienda nightclub, it became a catalyst for a distinctive musical and aesthetic ethos.
As a Hacienda DJ at that time, this ethos made a significant impact on Nick, and the brand image and identity of ARROJO mirrors many of the things that made 'Madchester' great: innovative, contemporary, durable and strong with fuss-free minimal elegance, functionality and creativity.
Everything from the design of the studio space to the way we cut hair is influenced by the feeling of this time. By bringing back the music, Expo has another unique way to immerse you into the ARROJO culture -- don't miss it!
