After spotlighting Lina Arrojo's Expo Day Two workshop (Backstory) last week, it's time to introduce the Day Two workshop of ARROJO education director and editorial stylist extraordinaire...
Prohibition by Amanda Jenkins
Featuring scissor and razor, and barbering, Prohibition centers on fashion-forward cutting for men. The inspiration is the current trend for men's cuts, updated from the era of prohibition, into the shape and style of the 21st century streetwise, self-made-man. This is grooming for guys, with fierce creative edge. Techniques include: combining texture, elevation, and strong shape; eliminating bulk for a soft and textured look; layering from front to back, and then from back to sides to create playful, messy texture; and connecting sections visually and technically.
Required Tools: Shears, Razor, Barbering Comb, Regular Comb
