Classic Cuts 1, September 12-14, ARROJO Academy, NYC

Classic Cuts 1 is a scissor-cutting class exploring one-length lines, graduations, and layering. By re-establishing the importance of proper craftsmanship and the value of precise technique, this seminar teaches you to improve all your cuts, no matter what shape or style. Each morning demo focuses on creating geometric yet organic shapes, and is followed by an afternoon workshop where you practice these skills as we advise and oversee. Especially beneficial for young stylists who want a better understanding of classic technique and experienced stylists who lack a strong technical background, Classic Cuts 1 is a great way to become more confident in your skill set, and more creative in your execution.

Classic Cuts 2, September 26-28, ARROJO Academy, NYC

Picking up where Classics 1 left off, Classic Cuts 2 teaches three timeless scissor-cuts that improve technical precision and creative versatility: Classic Long Layer shows the right approach to layering from the front to create perfect face-framing shape, while retaining weight and structure through the back; Classic Round Graduation displays how to create a perfect rounded layer shape, elegantly crafted from the front; and Classic Short Graduation reveals techniques for creating an ultra-tight nape, and pronounced head shape - the fundamentals of all short haircutting. In Classic Cuts 2 watch, practice, and master three techniques that increase control and flexibility, enabling a confident and creative approach to all cuts.
