ARROJO Underground Seminar @ Jose's Underground Lounge, Monterey, California, May 13, 2010.
To celebrate the launch of their new Hair Design University, Oya Salon, invites ARROJO Education to demonstrate two new trends in modern and creative, precision-based hairstyling.
With Nick and Lina Arrojo presenting the trends and techniques behind two hair cuts from the new ARROJO collection, and with DJ's, fashion by SLB Women's Clothing and additional hair and makeup by the Oya team, this promises to be an intimate and inspirational night of hair, education, fashion and design.
Oya is the first ARROJO Ambassador Salon on the West Coast. Oya became one of our top Ambassadors by way of its ongoing commitment to be the leader of education on the peninsula, and ARROJO now launches the new Oya HDU, with the first of a new wave of ARROJO Education events.
Called 'Underground' the idea is a future of small, intimate, and personalized seminars that promote the value of education in communities across the country.
Owner of Oya Salon, Brain Bode, says: "The main aim for the night is for hairdressers to be inspired and educated about latest trends, but it will also get the word out about the new HDU program and create a buzz around education in my area."
Held at a lounge bar, it will be a casual, laid-back, but highly edifying affair, allowing you to get up close and personal with two of the industry's leading lights, Nick Arrojo, Behind the Chair Magazine's Platform Artist of the Year, 2009, 2010, and Lina Arrojo, creator of the ARROJO Underground Collections.
Says Nick Arrojo: "My idea for the first ARROJO Underground educational event is to share insights and ideas, trends and techniques that will inspire each stylist to new levels craftsmanship and creativity."
