Over two days Nick and Gerard, using demonstrations and lively and fun, hands-on workshops, teach the essential skills of the straightedge blade.

In Razor Fundamentals attendees learn everything from how to correctly hold the razor to creating space, texture, shape in a variety of styles. Techniques include razor-cutting a one-length line, shaping a graduated razor-cut, and effective layering with your razor. Day one improves technique and precision, and gives you a platform to take your creative edge to the next level.

In Advanced Razor Cutting Nick and Gerard focus on modern, trendsetting, and sophisticated razor techniques that allow you to unlock true creative potential. Techniques include texturizing, panel-cutting, forming geometric and rounded shapes, cutting a weightless line with swing and movement, undercutting through the back sections, and cutting close to the root with a razor. Learning these skills gives each stylist increased flexibility and creative freedom.

PS: On the evening of August 21, Nick & Gerard will lead a Canadian edition of the ARROJO Happy Mondays event. Happy Mondays is a demonstration-only seminar, which offers an inspirational look at the latest trends and techniques in modern, creative hairdressing. Happy Mondays is free of charge, and is open to all hairdressers. It is a great way to discover the insights of two industry icons in a relaxed and intimate setting. Happy Mondays Toronto takes place in the Artists Choice Academy, from 6-8pm.
