To be held January 23-24, 2011, NYC, the inaugural ARROJO expo reforms the hairdressing landscape by offering hairdressers a two-day immersion in our multi-award-winning culture. It's chance to come see what we do, practice what we do, get the education and inspiration to make 2011 your most successful year yet. Now less than two weeks away, expo has sold out. BUT we've managed to add 20 additional event tickets. These spots will be sold on a first come, first served basis, with all sales closing at 5:30 pm, on Monday, January 17th. And due to popular demand for a Razor Fundamentals workshop as part of the expo show, we've now added the option to attend a Day Two afternoon Razor Fundamentals class. Razor Fundamentals shows you how to master the straight edge blade and is perfect for inexperienced razor-cutters or any stylist who wants to ground their own razor-cutting in strong technique. This is the very last call to join ARROJO master stylists and iconic guest artists for this new kind of independent hair show. The Expo Itinerary Saturday 22 January 6:30 - 8:30 pm @ ARROJO studio The Pre-Event Gathering Party We're starting things off with a little informal socializing and mingling and cocktail drinking. Open to all ticket-holders, this is a gratis event so you can see the studio, absorb what we do, and get in the spirit of expo. Join us in our ARROJO studio salon space as we celebrate the start of our new show. Expo Day 1: Inspiration, at The City Winery ARROJO master stylists and global guest artists feature the latest trend forecasts, pioneering techniques, and newest innovations in modern scissor and razor cutting, creative and fashion-forward color. Day 1 is at The City Winery Music Venue, a stones-throw from ARROJO studio. It boasts amazing acoustics, and it is a cool and unique space, perfect for the magnetic fire of expo. Day 1 Presentations: 10:15 am: Welcome to ARROJO expo, with Nick Arrojo 10:30 - 11:00 am: Backstory by Lina Arrojo 11:15 - 11:45 am: Creating a Character by Dennis DeVoy & Dennis Lanni 12:00 - 12-30 pm: The Duality of Color by James Edick & Abbey Theis Lunch (Provided) 1:30 - 2:00 pm Prohibition by Amanda Jenkins 2:15 - 2:45 pm: The Hairbrained Way by Gerard Scarpaci & Randy Taylor 3:00 - 4:00 pm Masters of Beauty by Nick Arrojo The Official Expo Party, with DJs Tatum Neill & Nick Arrojo As part of day one, there is a post show party with entry, food and drink included with the ticket. The party includes a hairdressing presentation by Nick Arrojo. The show is called 'Elements of ARROJO' and takes in three key parts of our world. Expo Day 2: Education On Day 2 learn, practice, master the skills featured on Day 1. There are five workshops; each starts at 9:30 am. Ticket-holders can choose which workshop they want to attend. Where there is sufficient interest, we have added an afternoon workshop session, in addition to (and a repeat of) the morning workshop. Workshops Backstory by Lina Arrojo: Advanced razor-cutting class; a new approach to shaping modern creative classics. Creating a Character by Dennis DeVoy & Dennis Lanni: Editorial styling class; learn to perfect persona for stronger, more expressive imagery. Prohibition by Amanda Jenkins: Fashion-forward cutting for men; using scissors and razor with fierce creative edge. Business & Brand Building by Nick Arrojo & Mary Rector-Gable: Best business and brand building practices; an inspirational, star-by-star seminar. The Duality of Color by James Edick & Abbey Theis: Different, equally innovative and effective techniques; increase versatility and creativity.
